Disappointments and Chaos
Alright. So the Northeast had a noreaster come through this past week. It was pretty crazy. I woke up on Monday to about 4 inches of snow on my car! By the end of the day it was POURING rain.
Needless to say, the game that I was going to go to... the one where I had seats 9 rows behind home plate... got postponed. What sucks about it is that it is postponed to a time I cannot go so I have to give the tickets back. Oh well. They told me I can choose another game.
So that was on Monday. On Wednesday I was driving to work and was having trouble focusing my eyes. Of course my first thought was the logical one that told me that I was not completely awake yet. By 9:00 my vision was not getting any better so I finally remembered that I have MS and it was another one of those symptoms. I mean, it's not normal that things are spinning around and that I see everything in duplicate. (It's happened several times before so it is not something new... you just tend to forget about stuff like that). The vision was not bad enough to go home until about 4:00 when I realized that I could not read anything or enter anything into a spread sheet in the appropriate column, so I made the announcement that I needed to go hime right then. I grabbed my keys and said, "I am leaving right now!" and started for the door. Paul offered to drive me home and I said no. But then as I headed back inside to grab my coat and purse (2 vital things I had forgotten in my haste to get home) I realized I was not in any condition to drive and decided to allow Paul to drive me home.
I did not work on Thursday, and I was still unable to work on Friday. Today I am still not able to see clearly but now to top it off, I am having a very difficult time walking!
Yesterday, Shaun picked me up to take me to lunch. As we were heading out he asked if it could possibly be weather related because he's noticed that when the weather changes I tend to have the most difficulties. Again. I've had this disease for 13 years and I know this but it is another thing I had forgotten! We have had very very strange weather conditions lately. It snowed on Monday and it was 70 by Friday! No wonder my body is confused!!
Alright. Now there is more dispointing weather related issues in the horizon. My vendor friend is taking me to a game on Thursday. Although that allows enough time for me to hope that my eyes will recover, and it gives enough time that I might be able to walk by then, the weather forecast for Wednesday though Saturday is calling for showers. Not just scattered showers or possible rain. Nope. Showers. I am really hoping it does not rain because I don't want to miss another game!! (Plus, I wouldn't mind hanging out with my vendor friend either).
