Tracie, Just Tracie

Because I miss my friends who are now all over the country (and globe) I decided to follow the crowd and let you know what I am up to without overcrowding inboxes with mass emails (which no one likes anyway). This is nothing spectacular. It is just my thoughts on life and things I have been doing to keep myself busy and entertained.

Consideration

So, I invited some people who did not have plans for Easter, to my parents' place for Easter dinner after church. I had four people say they wanted to come.
Well, today, one of them called to tell me he is not going to be able to make it afterall. The day before Easter he tells me this. That's totally cool. He is not obligated to come. So, when I asked him what he is doing instead (totally innocent question, because he might have decided to stay home by himself instead) he told me that another friend invited him over today instead.
Dude! That's fine. You can go where you want, but that totally makes me feel like he had a better offer come along and I am just not good enough. I think it is honestly just rude. But, hey, he can go where he wants. Like I said he is not obligated. But I am also allowed to notice that it is very rude and inconsiderate, especially since I reached out to him, knowing that he was not able to make it home, to offer him a place to go.
