Tracie, Just Tracie

Because I miss my friends who are now all over the country (and globe) I decided to follow the crowd and let you know what I am up to without overcrowding inboxes with mass emails (which no one likes anyway). This is nothing spectacular. It is just my thoughts on life and things I have been doing to keep myself busy and entertained.

Fun Week

So, last week I was pretty sick. I felt better by Friday but my throat still hurt pretty bad. Then on Saturday I went down to the city for my friend Lauren's birthday. I almost didn't go but I'm glad I did. First we hung out in her apartment then when everyone go there we went to a bowling alley a few blocks away.
Let me tell you. This place was CRAZY. It was called "Lucky Strikes" (you know Lassie Foundation songs were in my head the entire time). It was not just a bowling alley either. It was a night club. There was a dress code and everything to get in! CRAZY. We got inside and it was like a classy bar. Three floors of bars, black lights, large TV screens everywhere you can imagine, and bowling alleys on each floor.
The men's room even had a towel attendant! (Fortunately the women's room did not have such a service).
Well, it was a bar so we had to talk very load to hear eachother. I ended up losing my voice. Seriously.
On Sunday I was scheduled to light the Advent Candle with my friend Glenn but I could not talk to read the reading so Glenn had to read and say the prayer while I stood there and 'looked pretty' and lit the candle.
On Wednesday I had an upsetting situation and so when work was done I called Todd to make sure he was planning on going to Gulifty's because despite not having a voice I needed to go out. We ended up having a good time. 2 random guys ended up sitting with us and it made for an amusing night. I think those guys will be coming back next week, at least I told them too. Not sure if my commands will work on them or not.
Then on Thursday I went out with Todd and Dave to meet Todd's college friend Andrew. That was a ton of fun too. We really just hung out at a bar in my town but we had a great time laughing and singing (of course the bar had karaoke).
Last night a group of us went to my friend Paul C.'s house and got pizza and played a few games. We played Taboo and my team lost horribly. None of us were on the same wave length at all. I had some good names too and gave great clues but my team never figured out Anne Frank or Ted Turner! It was funny.
NowPaul's driveway is kind of windy and there are walls on each side. They are low walls but walls nonetheless. By the time I left it was after 1:30 and it was raining so I could not see to well. I had the hardest time navigating that darn driveway and I thought I was successful until today when, as I walked back to my car after going to Kmart I saw that I scraped the entire right front of my car up! It looks horrible! I really really hope that Paul's wall does not have red paint on it and that it is still intact.
You know if was bad outside if I did not realize I had hit the wall!
