Sweet
I usually go to Curves everyday during my lunch break. I leave at 11:00 and am back by noon. Dave, who calls me everyday at work, knows not to call during this time because I will not be around. Well, yesterday was an exception. I didn't go to Curves because I was feeling kind of 'draggy' and felt that if I would go, I would wear myself out considerably. Then Dave called me at 11:30 and commented on the fact that I was there and not at Curves. So, I explained the situation to him and he told me he was glad I chose not to work out.
Well, I left work a few minutes early because I suddenly became so fatigued I needed to lie down. I was seriously so tired I didn't think I was going to make it home! Dave called as I pulled in the driveway (but I was already on the phone with someone else and missed his call and had to call him back). When I did, he asked how I was feeling so I told him that I really just wanted to lie down and sleep for a few hours then do some laundry. He told me that he didn't want me to do my laundry because he'd rather I got the rest I needed, but I was able to convince him that I could do the bare minimum of laundry (not that he has control over those things, but I appreciated the concern). He even called me later to check on me to make sure I didn't do too much. Funny guy.
Today I woke up and had the hardest time getting started. I ended up having to come into work an hour or so later than usual. You know what? Dave called me at about 11:15 to check on me! I was talking to the office admin and missed his call, but his voice mail was so sweet. In it he said something along the lines of, "it's 11:00 and you are not at your desk and all I can hope is you did not decide to go to Curves because yesterday you told me you were feeling a little weak and I don't want you to hurt yourself by working out. I hope that if you are not at your desk you took the day off so that you could regain your strenth. I'll give you a half hour and if I don't hear from you, I'm going to call your cell phone."
It was really sweet. I had to forward it to a couple of the ladies in the office, but he'll never know that!
