Baltimore
Saturday, Curt, Andrea and I went to Baltimore and we had a fantastic time.
We made record time and arrived in the inner harbor by 11:00 and met up with Curt's college roommate there. Since our tickets to the aquarium were for 1:00 entry, we had lots of free time, so I convinced everyone... okay I told everyone that we were going ot have lunch at Chipotle. None of them had been there before because (Jodie you might not want to read this part) they do not *Gasp* have Chipotle in Philadelphia.
After our lunch, we walked around the harbor and even climbed to the top of a lighthouse. While up there I randomly started a conversation with a man and his wife because I noticed the guy was wearing a White Sox shirt. Turns out they are from the Philly area but he is a HUGE White Sox fan and makes the trip to Batimore to see the White Sox play every year. This was truly a man after my own heart.
At 1:00 we got to go into the aquarium. The first stop, ironically, was the bathroom so that the guys could use the facilities while Andrea and I waited for them outside. No lie.
We went to the 1:30 dolphin show and it was a complete waste of money. They did more showing us videos on the screen about training dolphins then they did letting the dolphins perform. I think they did a couple high jumps and some tail splashes but that was really all.
I did, however, see the perfect job for me while at the show! I think I need to be a person who gets the crowd ready for the show by introducing everything and getting people to move over to make more room. Seriously. Ask Andrea and Curt.
While we were going through the aquarium, there were a few people in wheelchairs and you know what? I think I seriosly had more fun moving people out of the way so that the wheelchair could get to the front of the tanks than I did looking at the tanks myself. I really did. You would not believe how rude an uncaring adults and children can be.
The mom of one little boy who was in a chair told me that she should pay me to take them around the entire aquarium getting people out of their way. I told her I'd do it for free but she just laughed.
One thing I learned while at the aquarium, looking at the sharks was that sharks have a kind of sixth sense that allows them to 'feel' what is hiding underneath the sand. Pretty crazy, huh?
After the aquarium, we went up to Camden Yards and bought our game tickets and got fantastic seats! We were in the first rown on the 3rd level, right behind home plate! We could see everything (if it was not for those pesky bars that hindered our line of vision though). Either way. They were great seats.
The game started off really slow, but the White Sox were winning so I didn't mind. In the bottom of the 5th Andrea and I went to get a beer, a pretzel and t-shirt and came back in the bottom of the 7th to see that the Orioles were catching up. To make a long story short, the game had to go into a 10th inning... even with Bobby Jenks coming out to close in the 8th... and the Orioles came through for all O's fans and won the game. Good for them.
Did I mention it was about 95 degress and 95% humidity in Baltmore? Yeah. We were walking all day long. Needless to say, by the end of the evening I had a lot of trouble walking. It was my own fault for being in the heat and overexerting myself, but it was fun.
Andrea and I stayed at a Days Inn and Curt stayed with his college roommate. I guess we got to the hotel at about 12:30 and were in bed by 1:00 because we were so tired. Wouldn't you know that at around 3:30 some of the guests made so much noise they sounded like they were in my room! It was crazy! So I had to call the front desk because they were being so loud. They sent security and she came banging on my door wanting to know where the noise was coming from and I could not tell her because I couldn't tell. She also told me that she sent several people inside because they were making noise out there.
Then about 20-30 mins after she left the people started up again. It was horrible! So, she came back around telling everyone to shut up. It was probably the most fun and excitement she had in a long time.
By the time the morning came around, I was still so tired I could not wake up. When Curt called at 9:30 to see if we were ready for breakfast, I think I actually told him to shut up becuase he was peppy and singing. Poor guy has to be a morning person.

No Chipotle in Philly!? That's horrible! Well it's a good thing you took them so they could experience it!

I can't believe there is a place in the U.S. without a Chipotle... just kidding. I acutally kind of hate Chipotle because that was the one place that I puked when I was pregnant. Can you imagine me throwing up in Wicker Park/Bucktown, in someone's front yard, just a couple blocks from Chipotle? I never went back.
