Big Difference

On Friday, I came into work a little upset that I was not going to see Dave this weekend. He had perfectly legitimate reasons for why his weekend schedule was booked, but I was still disappointed that he did not make time for me.

Well, on Saturday afternoon he called me to tell me that things with getting his car worked on and therefore getting together with his brother had fallen through and wanted to know if I wanted to see a movie with him. He was very excited to see the new Rambo movie and asked if I'd like to go and of course I told him I could see it with him.

He came over and we headed over to King of Prussia and got into the theater at the perfect time... just in time for the opening credits to begin.

After the movie was over he looked at me and asked what I thought so I told him "It was not as bad as I thought it would be". (hey- I was honest) He looked a little disappointed in my response and asked "Why did you say you wanted to see it then?" So I told him that I never said I wanted to see it, I told him I would see it with him. There's a BIG difference there.

On the way home he was still harping on the idea that I never wanted to see the movie so I told him that I wanted to spend time with him and figured that was the way I could do it because I was not going to get him to see "27 Dresses" and he agreed that that would never happen.
