Tracie, Just Tracie

Because I miss my friends who are now all over the country (and globe) I decided to follow the crowd and let you know what I am up to without overcrowding inboxes with mass emails (which no one likes anyway). This is nothing spectacular. It is just my thoughts on life and things I have been doing to keep myself busy and entertained.

The Killers

The Sam Goody at the Plymouth Meeting Mall is closing causing the merchandise to sell for significantly less. This past week I bought at least 15 new CD's. I couldn't resist.

Now, here is my point. One of the CD's added to my vast collection is The Killers. People, I cannot get enough of this CD. I wish I could just begin to tell you how much I enjoy this CD. It is seriously my new favorite. I don't know why it took me so long to get it.

Well, now I have taken a break from country and am listening to this CD non-stop. Seriously! I cannot remember the last time I liked a CD so much. It was probably that Liz Phair I got back in 2004 (I got her 2005 release in my spree too by the way) or maybe it was Nirvana's Nevermind. Doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is that I love this CD so much. Every song is great! I even had to download a song as my ringtone. One song I cannot get enough of is "Somebody Told Me" (that's the one that is my new ringtone). I will be in my car and have played that song on repeat for my entire 40 minute commute to work and have done it on my way home too! Have you ever heard a song that was so great that when it finished the only thing you could utter was "Damn!"? It's crazy. Also, have you ever listened to a song that overtook you so completely that you felt out of breath after hearing it? That is what I feel after it finishes. Unbelievable. Actually, the whole CD energizes me so much that I feel my heart racing everytime it is on. When I change the disk I can't stop thinking of how I wish I was listening to the Killers.

This mornimg, I warned those in the offices near me that they are going to hear this CD pretty often (as if they haven't noticed the past week) and namely "Somebody Told Me". Elizabeth came into my office about an hour ago to tell me that she keeps singing "Somebody told me you have a boyfriend..." to herself so I graciously changed my CD but after a couple hours I needed to put the Killers back on.

It's crazy people but I think you will get just as much enjoyment out of this CD if you had it.

I've only downloaded 2 of their songs, but I love the Killers! I need to get the rest of the cd.

Trust me. The whole CD is as good as their singles. It really is. It gives me chills thinking of how good it is.

I completely agree. I bought it last year and immediately could not stop listening to it. It's one of those CD's that I couldn't stop talking about for weeks on end. I particularly like "Midnight show" and "on top".
