Tracie, Just Tracie

Because I miss my friends who are now all over the country (and globe) I decided to follow the crowd and let you know what I am up to without overcrowding inboxes with mass emails (which no one likes anyway). This is nothing spectacular. It is just my thoughts on life and things I have been doing to keep myself busy and entertained.

An Army of Seagulls

A couple weeks ago, when Lola came down to Jersey with us, we were all on the boat in the bay catching crabs (beacause that seems to be my new favorite passtime). Our boat was positioned inside an inlet so there were weeds to our left and right and there was an opening where we entered. I hope that picture is clear.

Well, a funny seagull decided to camp out by our boat to watch us, hoping to get some of out bait. Soon a second seagull came. The first one was not happy about it at all because not only did this bird take the stakeout but it would dive in the water after the bait. We had to fight it to get our bait back several times.

About a half hour or so later I looked toward the opening in the weeds and saw about 6 additional seagulls all lined up in the water. They were in two evenly separated rows with each row evenly staggered. It looked like they were forming an army!

Such strange birds....
