Tracie, Just Tracie

Because I miss my friends who are now all over the country (and globe) I decided to follow the crowd and let you know what I am up to without overcrowding inboxes with mass emails (which no one likes anyway). This is nothing spectacular. It is just my thoughts on life and things I have been doing to keep myself busy and entertained.

Searching for a Song

My cousin, Travis, is getting married in Wichitah this October. He and his fiancee, Carrie, asked me to sing in the wedding. That is great! I am thrilled to sing and honored that they asked me!! The problem is they don't care what the song is. They did not even give me much indication as to what they want. All I know is that it will be sung during the ceremony (probably during the lighting of the unity candle). I also know that they don't want anything too classical of hymn-like.

I sang "Valentine" for his brother's wedding so that one is out. I sang "Be Thou My Vision" for Trista's wedding and for my friend, Emily's wedding. I like it but it is a hymn and a classical sounding one at that... although absolutely beautiful!

Travis did say a country song would be good. So, I am thinking maybe "When You Say Nothing at All" but I don't know if that is good enough.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions? I really cannot think of anything!
