Good News

I actually won that competition last night! I could not believe it. I was shocked. Before the guy said who got first place everyone at my table started chanting my name and I begged them to stop because I did not want to look stupid or be more disappointed if I did win but I did and a look of complete amazement came over my face and the guy just laughed at me. It was surreal.

In addition to the prize money I won a night's stay at the Holiday Inn where the contest was held but since I am moving next week, Diane offered to buy it from me so she did and I ended up with about $100 more than I had originally.

I told the guy running the show how grateful I was because I don't have a job and I need new brakes and they cost exactly what I won. He seemed happy to hear that. I am happy because my car is getting new brakes now. Crazy.
