Flowers!
Getting flowers is about one of the most thrilling things in my life. I cannot express enough how thrilled I was to get these beautiful flowers on my birthday. If you know me well, you know that I did go to every manager or director in the building to tell them they needed to stop by my office to see my flowers. I also told every consultant with whom I am friendly and even a few of the full time employees here.
Unfortunately, I only know about 5 women here to ask them to come see my flowers. When I did, however, they were more than happy to come ooh! and ahh! over them. The majority of those I told to come to my office were a bunch of men who just laughed at me and said "Oh sure Tracie. I'll come see your flowers." And they never did. Those who did come came because I happened to run into them in the hall and said "Hey! Do you want to see my flowers? Come with me!" Then they came. One director did come on his own and that made me happy so I gave him some Altoids (they were really a flavor I didn't like which I admitted to him).
Then Marina gave me a cake yesterday and I needed help eating it so I contacted the same people I asked to see my flowers and wouldn't you know they all came down to my office within minutes of my offer?
I saw one guy, from my favorite department, while I was on the third floor so I told him to grab a piece of cake from my office and he said, "Is that so I can see your flowers?" I laughed at him and admitted it was. But that was only partly the truth. I wanted him to have cake too. I did. He never came. His loss because Marina's cake was tres leches and SO SO SO SO good.
I'm posting more pictures of my beautiful flowers because I just took them today and cannot get over the fact that they are not even wilting yet! My vendor friend really sent some quality flowers.
