Knock Offs
I can't believe I am getting back on my blog just to write about my knock offs.
Point is, back in May, my friend Syreeta came out from Chicago to spend Memorial Day weekend.
On of the things I did with her was take her to South Street in Philadelphia (Andrea came with us). Of course I took her ALL AROUND Philly, but this story has to do with South Street.
For those who don't know, South Street is a street that has a lot of fun shops, Lorenzo's pizza (HUGE slices), cheese steaks, street performers, etc.
Well, the first store we saw was one Andrea and I had never seen before but it had a bunch of bags and it caught my attention, so we went it. Turns out it was a store full of REALLY nice knock offs! Seriously. And they were not expensive either.
I got a really cute and funky Dolce and Gabana, Syreeta a pink and black Prada and Andrea a Coach (I think she got that bag, can't remember).
Well, later that weekend Syreeta and I decided to stop by the shop again before taking her to the airport. This time I got a Coach purse and Syreeta got a red bag. I can't remember the designer. I was really excited about it because I realized that I can haggle on the price even! I got my new purse for about $7 less than the ticket cost! Woo Hoo!!
No one has been able to tell that my new purse it a fake and they are really shocked when I tell them that I got it for $25 and that it is not real. Really. It's a nice bag. This afternoon I looked up how to tell fake Coach bags and the only way you can tell on my bag is not real is by looking at the serial number on the inside. Good thing no one will be looking inside my bag! Haha!
Okay, so I told Trista that I was going to go back to this store to get a bag for her to use as a diaper bag so that she'll feel more at home in La Jolla (that is a very ritzy area of San Diego where she and Dan are living at the moment) and last night Andrea and I went down there and I got her bag! I got her a really nice tan Versace. I'll see her on Tuesday because she'll be back at my mom and dad's (I'll explain that later) and I cannot wait to give it to her!
While I was there I ended up getting a purse I can use for assignment interviews and a nice everyday bag too. Needless to say, I did not pay the sticker price either.
I am so addicted to these bags!
