Harry Potter

Okay, I need to talk about that Harry Potter movie.

In my opinion those books are too long and have too much going on in them to condense it into 90 minutes! It is just not fair to the plot.

"The Goblet of Fire" was very well done and the director did very well with the time he had with a few exceptions. Not so much time and flourishes needed to be spent on the visiting schools' arrivals, the dragon fight did not need to be as embelashed as it was and the dance did not need to have as much of a focus as it did. I did not need to see the kids dancing to that many songs when Harry's life was in jeopardy.

I don't want to get "Trekky" about this but they really should have added the part with Fudge and the Dementors' Kiss at the end. That is key to why, in book five, the wizzarding community does not believe Harry's assertion that Voldemort has returned. Also, they should have mentioned that Rita was an Animigus because that becomes important later in the series. The director did very well at making her obnoxious though.

The Quidich Match where the death eaters showed up was very well done.

If you have read the books, you should see the movie. If you have not read the books, do not waste your time. Too much had to be cut out for the movie to make much sense to you.
